Pacific puts me in this sad and perfect thought loop of “oh wow, all that stuff I researched in 10th grade, maybe it’s all just super good still”. It’s like harrowing.

I was listening to this album and reading fucking Anti-Oedipus at age 16 that’s so fucking evil why was I listening to this in winter 2021 that like does not fit whatsoever.

Specifically I think going back now and listening again making me think new thoughts about this album. Little old 16 year old Riley was like “ I only like the Hosono tracks on this album!” WHAT A IDIOT! GIRL YOUR FAV TRACK WAS A TATSURO YAMASHITA TRACK YOU DUMBASS!

Yeah going back to this feels weird and eery, and it’s sort of upsetting that like my memories of this album kind of cloud over how great it is. The last part of that third track . Wow. And the fucking Cosmic Surfin rendition is so damn pretty.

I got the audio done before going to a con and the drawing after. The pose referenced is from the video artist Amazu.

I got Miku in a really fuzzy sound, complete with a sort of clipping sound that I have no idea how I achieved. This is a vocal synth buzz-positive zone, you sort of learn to enjoy it after a lot of industrial music.

i had just got home when i started this ask originally, but now ive been sitting down for a while chilling. thinking abt spreadsheeting but also maybe having an early shower. decisions to be made.

30. what’s one thing that never fails to make you

it’ll sound cheesy but watching funny videos on youtube. it’s very easy to forget how much a laugh can boost my mood. if im feeling like laying on the floor numb, i can put on a ‘funniest smosh you laugh you lose compilation’ and just feel warmer inside.

also cheesy but going outside and feeling the sun on my skin. less accessible at night and/or winter, but alas it works well. mother nature my beloved.
